Osama Satti Murder Case Demands of Family Members Accepted After Protest in D-Chowk




Deputy Commissioner (DC) Islamabad Hamza Shafqat announced to accept all the demands of the protesters.


DC Islamabad Hamza Shafqat said that the case of Osama Satti has been sent to the Islamabad High Court for setting up a Judicial Commission. He said that a notification regarding the formation of Judicial Commission would be issued soon and all the officials involved have been sacked as per the demands. Hamza Shafqat said that the protesters' demand for change of investigating officers has also been met. Earlier, five officials involved in the killing of Osama Satti were fired from the police service. Police officers were fired for misconduct and conviction. Those sacked include Sub-Inspector Iftikhar, Constable Mustafa, Shakeel, Mudassar and Saeed. Notification of dismissal of personnel has been issued. The Joint Investigation Team (JIT) investigating the murder of young Osama Satti, who was shot dead by police, also recorded the statements of all the arrested accused. It may be recalled that a student named Osama was shot dead by ATS personnel in Sector 10 of Islamabad and his FIR has been registered in Ramna police station. Officers fired 22 shots and there were bullet marks on the front screen of the vehicle. At the instigation of the victim's father, the case of death was registered under 7 ATA. The provisions of Section 302 of the FIR have been applied.
